qBittorrent red plug PIA Port forwarding how to change the port

The PIA port forwarding changed, and I couldn't connect to my peers. I had that red plug saying that I couldn't find any other peers, and the trackers were not contacted yet.

Here is a step by step solution that can help you to solve this problem:

  1. Make sure you have your PIA credentials noted. You will need them later.

  2. Close everything except PIA.

  3. Disconnect from VPN.

  4. Log out from the PIA application.

  5. Wait for a moment. I waited for a couple of minutes. I took a break went to the shower to cry for a moment because I didn't know what I was doing wrong.

  6. Now, with your credentials at hand, log in again into the PIA application.

  7. Check if your port changed. It should be.

  8. Open qBittorrent, options, connection, insert the new port.

  9. qBittorrent, options, advanced, NetWork interface, ensure the correct PIA connected interface (PIA or wgpia0. It depends if you use OpenVPN or WireGuard).

  10. Save, restart qBittorrent.

And that's it. I hope this post could help you with this problem.
